TSP143II WiFi Troubleshooting

An easy and quick guide to help you get your printer up and running again.

Do you have a Star Micronics TSP143II WiFi printer that will not print.

Here you have a step by step guide to find the reason why it works.
First we need to check if the printer is online. Here's how you do it:

  1. Turn off the printer on the left side.

  2. Hold down the "Feed" button and turn on the page again.

  3. Press and hold until it starts printing.

  4. Pick up the paper and check if it is on the correct network and that it has an IP address. Check out the image below for help.

The next step is for locating the printer

Here's how you do it.

  1. Go to the "App store".

  2. Search for "TSP100ii Utility".

  3. Download the App and open it.

  4. Press "Unselected state"

  5. Select the TSP143IIW printer if the IP address below matches.

6. Tap "Apply" in the lower right corner.

7. Exit "TSP100ii Utility".

8. Open the Shopbox.

9. Tap the white printer icon at the top of the screen.

10. Select "Main printer".

11. Press the reload button (semicircle ending in an arrow).

12. Press "Click here to select printer".

13. Select the printer "TCP-ip address of the printer".

14. Press "OK".

15. Press "Save".

16. Select "Yes" to connect and make a test print.

Error Codes:

  1. Ready = Flashing 3 times per second
    Error = Off
    Solution = Your printer is connecting through WPS, wait until it has finished pairing.

  2. Ready = Off
    Error = Flashing 8 times in a row
    Solution = Your printer could not connect via WPS check your router and try again.

  3. Ready = 2 quick flashes every two seconds
    Error = Off
    Solution = Your printer was disconnected from Network

  4. Ready = Fast flashing constantly
    Error = Off
    Solution = Check your DHCP is set up correctly and check your IP address on your printer.

  5. Ready = Flashing medium speed constantly
    Error = Off
    Solution = Allow your printer to cool and wait for the flash to stop

  6. Ready = Flashing extremely slowly
    Error = Off
    Solution = Allow your printer to cool and wait for flashing to stop

  7. Ready = Constantly on
    Error = Constantly on
    Resolution = Align printer paper and close lid properly

  8. Ready = Constantly on
    Error = Flashing medium speed
    Solution = Load paper in the printer

  9. Ready = Off
    Error = Flashing extremely fast
    Solution = Adjust the paper to fit properly.

  10. Ready = Flashing synchronously with error
    Error = Flashing synchronously with ready
    Solution = Check your power supply that it is the correct one that is fully charged to the printer.

  11. Ready = Flashing synchronously with error
    Error = Flashing synchronously with ready
    Solution = Turn off your printer.
