Do you have a Star Micronics TSP143II USB that will not connect to your iPad? Here's how we fix it.

Check the iPad is charging through the cable from the printer.

If it says "Not charging", unplug the cable and let the iPad lose some power. If this does not work, try another cable.

If the printer is charging follow the guide below.

  1. Go to the "App store".

  2. Download "TSP100ii Utility".

  3. Open the "TSP100ii Utility".

  4. Click on the "Unselected state" field.

  5. See if a printer appears in the USB / BT "TSP143II USB" field. If not, try unplugging the cable again and pressing the reload button (semicircle ending in an arrow)

  6. If a printer has appeared, tap it and then tap "Apply" in the lower right corner.

  7. Leave the "TSP100ii Utility" app.

  8. Open Shopbox.

  9. Tap the white printer icon at the top of the screen.

  10. Press "Main printer".

  11. Press the reload button (semicircle ending in an arrow).

  12. Click on the field "Click here to select printer".

  13. Press "OK" on the right side.

  14. Press "Save".

  15. Press "Yes" to connect and make a test print.

Error codes:

  1. Power light = Flashes at 0.5 second intervals
    Error light = Off
Solution = Allow the printer to cool

  2. Power light = Flashes at 2 seconds intervals
    Error light = Off
Solution = Allow the printer to cool

  3. Power light = On
    Error light = On
Solution = Close the printer cover properly

  4. Power light = On
Error light = Flashing at 0.125 second interval
Solution = Align the printer paper and try again.

  5. Power light = On
Error light = Flashing at 0.5 second interval
Solution = Add new paper to the printer

NOTE !! We recommend that you use the original charging cable that came with the iPad. If you use an "unoriginal" cable, it must not be further than 1 meter.
